OCC Issues Final Rule Governing Oganizational Functions of OTS
The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency (OCC) issued final rules amending its regulations governing the numerous organizational functions of the Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) ,), as well as, postemployment restrictions for senior examiners, and fee assessments to incorporate the transfer of certain functions of the OTS) to the OCC as required by the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act. The OCC is also amending certain preemption and visitorial power rules to implement Dodd-Frank provisions.
Most of the effective dates of the rules are July 21, 2011, except for certain amendatory instructions, which have later effective dates.
